It was interesting to come in contact with our Salsa teacher today, after absorbing a lot of media about his life on social media since the last class.

It felt strange, if I am honest. And it made me realise that no one ever lives up to the lives they put online, or on social media.

The very process of expressing ourselves online puts us on a pedestal. And, it can be kind of dehumanising.

What has changed?

I recently wrote an essay about my thoughts on an aspect of my lifespan on a different platform. The strangest thing was that it felt altogether ‘too personal’ to publish here.

Observing that felt like growth, because although in the past I have shared quite readily about my emotional world, I realised in those moments, that when I have written something truly authentic and personal, I can’t entrust it to this space.

It leaves me wondering what kinds of topics I can explore here.
